Atlanta is one of the most exciting cities in the South. With its cultural and artistic treasures, there is something for everyone. On my recent vacation, I had the pleasure of staying at the brand new Springhill Suites hotel. The beautiful high rise hotel is conveniently located in downtown, within walking distance of all the major attractions.
Overview and Location
Springhill Suites is centrally located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. One of the major benefits is its close proximity to nearby attractions such as World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, The Breakfast Club, and Mercedes Benz Stadium. A variety of restaurants and attractions are conveniently available to you, right outside your doorstep.
Amenities
I have to preface this section by saying the staff was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. We received impeccable service throughout our stay. Quality customer service is something I always look out for and they truly exceeded my expectations.
Now, onto the amenities. The hotel has everything you can imagine – an upscale bar with live music, a fitness center, onsite laundry, valet dry cleaning, and patio/lounge area. Also included in your stay is free breakfast daily from 6:30am – 10:30am. They offer a variety of foods like waffles, bagels, yogurt, omelets, fruit, cereals, and of course coffee and tea.
Rooms and Suites
Springhill Suites has recently partnered with West Elm to refresh the hotels with modern and functional decor and furniture. I was really impressed by the beautiful, stylish decor throughout the hotel and in the rooms. They are also very spacious with large windows to let in lots of natural light.
The 2 Queen Suite room was clean, cozy, and fully stocked with all necessities. It included a mini-fridge, microwave, and a living area with a sofa bed. There were also 2 queen beds and a closet. For added convenience, the smart TV included cable channels and the option to stream Netflix and Hulu. The bathroom was clean and stocked with facial soap, makeup wipes, and towels. However, this one did not have shower gel and shampoo in the shower. The suites are available in King and Queen rooms, with the option to select a room with a city view. If you don’t mind the extra cost, I highly recommend getting a room with a view.
Note: accessible guest rooms are also available for those requiring special accommodations.
Things to Do
With the convenient location of the hotel, there is no shortage of things to do. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, there is something for everyone. Some nearby attractions are the Georgia Aquarium, High Museum of Art, Skyview Atlanta, and College Football Hall of Fame. Popular restaurants include Atlanta Breakfast Club, Mellow Mushroom, and Hard Rock Cafe.

Final thoughts and rating
This was undoubtedly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. From check-in to check-out, everything was satisfactory. I really appreciated the kindness of the staff, and the appearance of the hotel was spectacular as well. I’d recommend this hotel to solo travelers and families because it’s very accommodating. If you have luxury taste but are on a budget, this would be perfect for you as well. Overall, I would rate this hotel a 5/5.
